    • Murder: 802, Portland, Dorset, England; According to Asser's Life of Alfred the Great she accidentally killed her husband by poison. She fled to Francia, where she is said to have been offered the chance of marrying Charlemagne, but ruined the opportunity.

    Eadburh married King of Wessex from 786 to 802, succeeding Cynewulf Beorhtric, King of Wessex in 789. Beorhtric died in 802; was buried in 802 in Wareham, Dorset, England. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
